Unhappy Kenmore Coldspot 10679852990...Leaking water inside

    Hi Everone
I can see that this problem has happened to many people, and I've looking at the drain section in the back of the fridge, and pulled it down, only to find out there is NO drain hose. It looks like it collects freezer water and runs down the back of the fridge. There is no drain plug at the bottom of the fridge. I can't figure out why after 6 years it starts collecting water at the bottom. I can send pics of the items I described. PLease help if possible. My wife want to buy a new fridge over this.........

    Hi,

Photos are always good to post here, it helps us to see whats going on by remote.

There's alot of reasons why it can collect water inside, Jeff1 has a great refrigerator help site:

    Thanks Jake
I already looked at Jeff1's site and couldn't find the same situation. After I pulled apart the freezer drain cover, I was hoping to find a hose. but no such luck.. Here are the pics I took, let me know if you need any more.......

    Great photos!

But thats not the drain area, thats just the air tunnel that shoots cold air to the refrigerator section.

The drain on your model is located underneath the evaporator coil, behind the back panel inside the freezer.

You will need to take off the bottom freezer tray, has 2 screws in the front area of that tray.

Then take off the back freezer panel inside the freezer, then get a flashlight and look underneath the evaporator coil, you will see the drain hole, if lots of ice is blocking it, you will need to remove the ice, then get very hot water and run it down the drain, if it still does not drain, get a long Phillips screwdriver and run in inside that drain hole abit.
