[FIXED] Kenmore Elite 110.73932101, no heat
Kenmore Elite (model 110.73932101) gas dryer, and it does not heat. Runs, tumbles just fine, but it's like it is just on air fluff, no heat at all. I normally use just timed drying, but I get no heat from either timed or the moisture control setting. Supply electrical is normal, gas supply is working. Built in diagnostic test (as described on the tech sheet) verifies that the controls are working, and I have tested the following, and the readings were consistent with what was listed: High limit thermostat, Thermal fuse, Thermistor resistance, Gas valve electrical resistance test, Ignitor resistance test. Test mode checks: (All gave beeps) Door switch, Fabric Care Temperature Switch, Push to Start Timer. The Even Heat Electronic Control Assembly looks fine, with nothing burnt or obviously wrong with it. Is there a way I can manually (with either a screwdriver or small electric current) open the gas valve to confirm that it is not stuck in the closed position? Any other suggestions on what I can test?

Hi Jeremy,
Did you test everything per this help link here:
http://www.applianceaid.com/gas_dryer.html#noheat
Do a voltage check at your igniter to test for 120 volts when its on.

Just tested it, 120v at the ignitor, but not glowing (Wait, voltage is paralell, right? It's Amps that is in series, correct?).
Rechecked the following, all ok: Thermal fuse, High limit thermostat, flame/radiant sensor, Thermistor, Ignitor, door switch, gas valve coils, centrifugal switch, belt switch.
Checked the heater relay: Coils show a resistance of >2mil ohms, switch contacts open. Ran the dryer, switch remains open (hot setting). Bypassed the relay, coil lights up, did not risk running it any longer than that (dryer was largely disassembled with the belt sensor rigged (shoestring on the pulley).
Is it a reasonable assumption that the heater relay is faulty? (Heater Relay, part 3405281, according to my sheet.)

Wait, if your volt meter said you have 120 volts at your igniter when its on, and the igniter isn't glowing red, then thats the bad part.
Here's the igniter assembly for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 279311
