Just broke the glass cooktop. I found the replacement part online. Is it something my husband can do easily? How do we get the broken top off, and how does the new one go on? Or should we hire the appliance tech to do it?

Unfortunately on this model, its more difficult to change the main glass top if you haven't done one before. If your husband is good with tools and mechanically inclined, he can probably do it. There's not a repair manual for this model.

You have to pull your range completely out, and take the screws out from all around the bottom of the glass-top where it mounts to the metal frame.

If he wants to repair this himself, he has to turn the power off to the range, you have a breaker for it in your home breaker box.
