    Default Kenmore Elite HE3t

Hello, I'm wondering if there are any suggestions on some problems that I'm experiencing with my Kenmore washer model# 110 43902.200. It's just over two yers old and for the last month it has been flashing the F06 error code intermittently. I read some of the posts and got to the manual inside the bottom cover but so far it has not helped. Called Sears for help and was very disappointed with the tech that was sent. He called before he came to tell me he had a control board and it was $204.00 and that was the problem. Pretty amazing to be able to diagnose a problem without an error code or discription of the problem I would say! Anyway he attempted to hook up the board and after he plugged it in got F11 error code so he put the old panel in again and got the same F11 error code (the result of hooking up one of the plugs upside down something I fixed after). After I changed the plug back I now have the same F6 error code again, so I'm back to square one. The tech thinks the problem is now with the door lock, but when I run the diagnostic test it always passes the door lock and fill up elements of the test. I t will not turn the drum or spin and now the drain pump doesnt seem to want to stop (keeps running) any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Hi,

Sorry to hear the problems you had with the Sears tech.

If you already paid to have it repaired and he didn't fix it, then it would be good to call the Sears service dept. back at 1-800-4MYHOME and ask for customer relations, then explain what has transpired, they will make sure the problem is resolved, also ask for the lead tech. to come out. You can also go to your local Sears store and talk to the store manager, they will follow up on it as well.

I don't have the error codes in front of me, i will see if i can get a copy of the codes to post here.

    Thanks for the reply Jake,
The F06 error code is Drive motor Tachometer error (the machine is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down) and the f11 error is Serial Comunication Error

He replaced the motor control board that sits on the bottom base or the CCU board that sits in the top back of the washer?

It would be hard to say what parts to change currently, if he replaced the motor control board, then the motor itself could be causing the F06.

The F11 could be a bad CCU or door lock switch.

    Hi Jake,
He brought the motor control board along with him and tried hooking that up, but it didn't make any difference. He got the F11 error code because he had one of the plugs in upside down. I changed that and then got back to the old F06 error code. On saturday evening I tried a new motor thinking that since I was looking at a tachometer problem and the tachometer would be an integral part of the motor, that might be the problem, but that didn't change anything either. I guess that it could be the CCU board at the back.

    Thanks for the input,

    Jack

Default Did you find the problem?

I have the F06 flashing on my HE3T and all the wires are connected correctly. Did you find the part that was bad that was causing your F06 error? Do you have any suggestions on what to test first?
    THANKS
