I have a Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher, model #665.15779990. I have had it 10 years and use it approximately once a week. Recently it does not complete the cycle. It goes through the 3 lights to wash, then all lights go off. The 'rinse', 'dry' and 'clean' lights do not come on. Yet in the end, dishes are pretty dry, though not sparkly clean, just clean. When I open the door, there is about 1 1/2 inches of water sitting in the bottom. If I wait a while, I can press cancel and the water will drain out. In addition, one time this week I could not start the dishwasher. In looking at your FAQ, I discovered someone was told to turn off the circuit breaker (power source) which I did, waited several hours, and then I could turn the dishwasher on.

I would not be able to repair this myself, but I thought if I could determine the problem, I would know what to ask someone to do.

Hi Ann,

Yes, it sounds like your control board is malfunctioning. I had a few do the same thing as few years back and I replaced the control on them and fixed each one like that.
