Kenmore Push to Start Problem
Hi
I've been reading the Evenheat problems and solutions in [FIXED] Another Kenmore Dryer problem because my dryer has the same problem. It is a Kenmore 110.73932102, about 3 years old.
The Push to Start button needs to be depressed all the time for the dryer to work. After checking the thread above, I investigated my control board and found the same scorching and leaking capacitors. I replaced it with a new control board from repairclinic.com, but the problem remained.
I read a similar story at Waiting for help - replacing Evenheat board does not solve the Push To Start holding and tried to switch the power/motor relay with the heat relay to see if that solved the problem, but no luck.
I'm open to any ideas or suggestions.
Many thanks
Mike

Thats very odd, the control board and the switching the motor/heater relay should have worked, other than that, its either the thermistor or the motor itself.
Also check Jeff1's website link here , this may help you some more:

If you can't find the problem , its best to call Sears for a tech. to come out.
