Default Kenmore gas dryer 110.97583210 too hot, shrinking clothes

Dryer Repair Enthusiasts;

Long time no chat! We successfully fixed the motor back in February with your help; now the feedback from the boss is that all the clothes are shrinking...suggesting the dryer is running too hot.

Are there diagnostics I can run ( I see lots about temperature readings but not specific to this dryer)? Also many "too hot" threads suggest thermistor replacement ...which one?

Thanks in advance! Ed

Hi Ed,

First lets try to pull your dryer away from the wall, then check your vent exhaust hose in the back to see if there are any lint clogs in it, and also outside your house where it exhausts out to. Clogged lint is the #1 cause of dryers overheating.

Let me know what you find and we will go from there.

Jake
