Default [FIXED] Kenmore Elite HE3T 110.42922200 Drain Pump

Hello:

Our Kenmore Elite HE3T 110.42922200 has that "takes forever to drain before high speed spin" problem. It does eventually complete the cycle but research here seems to indicate that the drain pump is failing. The pump is also makes much more noise than before so I assume I need Part Number: AP3953640.

Just looking to confirm and to ask if the Whirlpool Duet Manual covering models GHW9100L and GHW9200L is the correct reference to use.

I might as well take care of this now before it fails completely.

Thanks in advance,
Skip

Hi Skip,

It sounds like the water pump is going bad.

Here's the water pump for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 280187

Yes, its the same repair manual.

Here is the online repair manual for the Duet/Kenmore HE3T:

Default Fixed

The new pump did the trick -- went right in.

Thank you! You have saved me two service calls (one recently for the dishwasher and one now for the washer), I really appreciate it!

Thanks again,
Skip

Default BTW, Do these units stack?

I forgot to ask, is there a stack kit for the washer and dryer? I have them on the pedestals but I'm considering stacking the dryer on top of the washer, or is this not a good idea?

Thanks,
Skip

Glad the new pump fixed it Skip.

I'm not sure if there's a stack kit available or not, Sears would know, if you go to you local Sears store they can tell you.

If you have a good solid floor(cement floor always the best) then it should be fine.
