I have a Kenmore Washing Machine Series 80 (model # 110.25842400) that developed a leak this past weekend. SOmewhere between 30 - 60 seconds after a cycle starts the water comes out, and its pouring out.
Any suggestions? Thanks Dan |

Hi Dan,
You'll need to remove the washer cabinet and see exactly where the water is coming from, its either comping from the water pump, or the main tub seal directly underneath the outer tub assembly, or possibly a rubber hose to or from the pump is broken. Here is how to remove the end caps on this design: ![]() Then tilt the console back on its hinges. Unplug your washer first! Read #2 and #4 on how to take the cabinet off and check the pump first: http://www.applianceaid.com/procedures.html Here's the water pump for your model: Manufacturer's Number: 3363394 Jake

Jake - thank you - It would have taken me a lot longer to figure out how to get that thing apart as I would never have guessed that.
So the pump had a leak. I replaced it. Put the whole thing back together (that was apparently a mistake) and started it up for a test cycle (partial, either short cycle or rinse only, not sure) and no leaks. But later during the next cycle my wife noticed water again. Any suggestions before I tear it all apart again? thanks Dan |

Ok Dan,
You'll need to remove the cabinet again to see where the leak is coming from, you can run a complete cycle with the cabinet off while your watching it, just jump your lid switch, Jeff explains how to here: http://www.applianceaid.com/dd_lidswitch.html Jake
