Angry Kenmore SxS Fridge not cooling

I have a 6 yr old Kenmore SxS Fridge (I will have to get the model # when I return home tonight) which the Freezer is cooling well and yesterday we noticed the Fridge partion was at 60 degrees. This is what I did. Pulled apart the back and the fan was running, compressor was running but extremelly hot. I vacuumed and blew out the coils with compressed air. Then I removed the back of the Freezer and saw just a small amount of frost on the inside coils (not enough to impede flow of air) and the fan was running. I read a lot about the problems with the diffuser and took that all apart looking for ice buildup and nothing out of the ordinary. I noticed the diffuser would open and close just fine and ended up unplugging it last night in the open position as I have read that is problematic for a lot of people. This morning the fridge was still at 50 degrees. I can feel cold air blowing in from the diffuser area. But something obviously isn't right. Any ideas? I have the adaptive board on this model and haven't figured out how to force a defrost cycle but I didn't think that was the problem since there wasn't any ice build up other than the light frost.

Some more information as I think of it. For the last several months my wife has had to turn the temperature down on both the fridge and freezer portion to keep it at the same temperature but it kept up. The unit is in our garage and it is obviously very hot around this time of year especially being in a closed garage with the cars. Any ideas?

Refrigerator's in hot summer garages puts a big strain on the cooling system, but it sounds like possibly your diffuser is the problem, once you post the model# I can see.

If you can put something in your diffuser like a small pen or pencil to keep the louvers in the diffuser open for now to see if that keeps the cold air flowing into your refrigerator section and see if that makes a difference then we will know for sure its the diffuser thats bad.

I have the model # now. Kenmore 106.52552100.

I probably didn't make myself clear, I pulled the electrical plug to the diffuser last night so it was kept open all night as it didn't have power to close the louvers and still only reached 50 degrees. So with it all the way open for 7 hours, I only could get the fridge down to 50. So I'm thinking thats not it. Any other ideas?

I just spoke to my wife who says that it is down to 45 degrees in the fridge, and that was about 4-5 hours ago that it has sunk another 5 degrees with the louvers open in that amount of time. Moving in the right direction anyway, just slowly

Ok, give it more time, 24 hours at least.

Here's the diffuser for your model you can order:
