Good Morning,
I have a kenmore that is overflowing on to the floor when it is filling with water. It is if it doesn't know when to shut off while moving through the cycles. I replaced the coupler about one week ago. Could I have messed something else up or not put something back on. We have been using the washer this week with no problems. It just started happening today. I believe it is going through the cycles because I was able to move it to the rinse cycle and it did drain. I have had great success on these forums and appreciate any help. Thanks, |

Hi,
So what happens is when its filled to the top its overflowing and the agitator isn't moving at all? No motor sound either? If thats the case, it sounds like possibly your water level pressure switch clear hose may have come off. Open the control console and see. Jake

Hi Jake,
Thanks for the suggestion, where would I find the "water level pressure switch clear hose"? Is that the one that runs down beside the drum? Thanks again. |

Yes, it goes from your water level pressure switch down to the right side of your outer tub assembly.
Here's the clear plastic hose for the water level pressure switch: Manufacturer's Number: 353244 You do know how to open the control console correct? I assumed so since you already replaced the motor coupler. You did take the cabinet off to change the motor coupler correct? If not, here's how To get access to it: You would need to open your console as shown here: http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/showthread.php?t=1081 Pull forward and up on the console and you can hinge it open and hanging from the hinges. Yes, I do know how to open the console. I just wasn't sure if I also needed to remove the cabinet. Sounds like I do need to remove the cabinet. Thanks for your help.

Yes, its best to remove the cabinet.
![]() Jeff explains how here, once you remove your end caps and tilt the console up and leaned back on its hinges: http://www.applianceaid.com/procedures.html#remove Actually once you open the console you will see your clear water pressure hose that should be already attached to your water level pressure switch. Hi Jake,
I opened the console and pushed it back and the hose had become disconnected from the water level knob (not sure if that is what it is called). I reattached it and it seemed to be a snug fit. I ran one empty load and it went through ok. It is now going through the second empty load. I think I may be back in business thanks to you. I appreciate the help! John |
