Default Kenmore Ultrawash 665.17621691 Should I replace this damaged part?

Hi, my machine started leaving residue and not completely draining so I got to this part which appears to be damaged.

Am I right in thinking that this is somehow affecting the water draining? I have already checked all the filters and screens as well as the check valve and hose and there are no clogs.

Any help would be appreciated. I figure I need to replace this part? Or is there something else that I should check? This is a wonderful site that got me this far already! Thanks!

As my title suggests, I am trying to figure out if I can replace this or I ahve to replace the whole motor meaning that I should just buy another one of these used (since I got it for 60 dollars).

Yes, you will need to replace that part, turn the motor shaft to make sure the motor turns freely first, if it doesn't then you would need to order the pump/motor assembly complete.

Here's the impeller kit for your model you can order:
Manufacturer part number 675806 is RepairClinic item number 679717
675806

Here's the motor/pump assembly for your model:
Manufacturer's Number: 675793A

Thanks Jake!

Do I need any special tools? How do I get that gray piece off there? Is that what people are talking about breaking off?

Yes, it should just pull up, if its stuck on you'll probably have to break it off.

Jeff explains here how to do it:

Hi Jake,

I finally got the kit here and I have this extra part here that isn't in the instructions! Any idea what it is and where it goes?

Look at the #24 box here:

It goes under that gray lower impeller.
