The water dispenser works fine. ![]() Please advise how to repair both this issues. ![]() Thanks, Phil |

Hi Phil,
Sounds like your ice dispenser motor is bad. Here's the cheapest price I found on your ice dispenser motor for your model, you can order: Manufacturer's Number: 2252129 Here's the repair manual that shows you how to access and replace it: www.applianceblog.com/manuals/in-door_ice4322658A.pdf For the ice maker, feel inside your ice maker and see if all the cube slots have ice in them first, let me know. Jake

Jake,
The cube slots have no ice in them. What do you think is going on? Also, with regard to the motor, now when I press the ice dispenser lever there's no humming or any sound for that matter. Do you still think the motor needs to be changed? Thanks for the help. Phil |

For the ice maker, I'd do the optics test that I posted here:
[FIXED] Kenmore & Whirlpool Ice Maker LED Blinking Codes & Online I/M In-Door Repair Manual Then get a cheater cord and test your water inlet valve in the back as jptl posted here: Testing ice maker water supply at the solenoid If those both test good, then its the ice maker itself thats bad. Here's the cheapest ice maker I found for your model: Complete icemaker assembly For the dispenser you would need to check the voltage to it, you should have a tech. data sheet behind your front kickplate grille that shows you how to do that. Unfortunately Sears doesn't make their tech. sheets available online or I would post it for you. Jake

Jake,
I finally got around to doing all the tests in your reply to me and to others on the ice maker and the the ice dispenser problem for this particular Kenmore model. 1. For the Ice Maker I did the "T & H" jumper test and the fingers moved to the 10:00 position and then the water filled. I removed the jumper after that. Does that mean the ice maker is shot and I should order a new one? Or is there another test after this I should do? 2. For the Iced dispenser, I tested the switch and it was good. I checked continuity of the wiring from the the dispenser control circuit board to the motor, (4 wires) and they were good. When I press the switch on the ice dispenser control board, no voltage is delivered to the motor. Does that mean the ice dispenser control board is bad? Not sure what else (if anything) to check in both cases. ![]() Please advise. Thanks, Phil |

Yes, you would need the new ice maker assembly.
And the dispenser control board here: Manufacturer's Number: W10184873 Jake

Jake,
Just an update for the benefit of others, I order and installed the new ice maker assembly and the system is now harvesting ice again! In regards to the dispenser control board, I also ordered that part but noticed on the new part there is no heater connector so I was leery to install it. I then checked for voltage to the ice dispenser motor again, this time for both AC and DC and found when I pressed the dispenser control board switch there was a reading of around 80 volts AC. The tech. data sheet I found in the kick-plate grille indicated that there should be 120 volts DC (rectified). Initially when I wrote you last weekend I was only checking for DC and there was no reading. I then removed the motor and using a ratchet turned the shaft which connects the motor to the ice bin. At first it wouldn't turn so I had to give it some slight force, after that it turned freely both ways. Then I reconnected the motor and it started working again! I would recommend that anyone else having this same problem try this simple step before ordering any parts in regards to the ice dispenser motor. I just sent a return request to Appliance Pros from within their Website for the new the dispenser control board and their system advise that a Customer Service Rep. will contact me via e-mail in 24-48 hours. Any comment on those voltage readings I mentioned above? Regards, Phil |

Glad the new ice maker fixed it Phil.
![]() I'm not sure why you were getting those voltages for the auger motor. Thanks for the added information on what you did. Jake
