Default Slipping

I have a kenmore washer that when in spin it can't handle the load. Removing the agatator you can see the transmission shaft and when the tub spins it does move but if you have wait inside or hold the tub with you finger both the tub and shaft stand still. Sometimes even empty it has trouble but if you give it a push it will go. Even then it does not seem as fast a normal. Thanks in advance Mod: 110.24712300 ser: CR1024335

Hi,

I've seen this happen many times.

Your basket drive and clutch are worn out.

Here is the basket drive for your model:
Manufacturer part number 285792 is RepairClinic item number 1254
285792

Here is your clutch assembly:
Manufacturer part number 285785 is RepairClinic item number 2670
285785

Here's a good help link to access these parts:
Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper, Estate, Kitchen Aid: Direct Drive Spin Tube

Here's a similar thread to yours that the member found it was the clutch:
[FIXED] Kenmore 110.22872100 won't spin without help
