I have a Kenmore 110.28522700 that shakes pretty badly and rattles in the spin cycle, runs fine otherwise. Took the cover off but can't find anything wrong with it. Suspension looks to be aligned correctly according pictures I've seen. All the springs are in place correctly - 1 connected to the bottom and 3 around the suspension that I can see. Pads don't look to be worn - unit is only a year and a half old. Everything looks to be good and tight. Any ideas? This is driving me crazy!!! Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this started after moving recently. I guess its logical to assume that moving it did something... I just can't figure out what.

Ahh, sounds like the suspenion plate came out of place.
Jeff has a good help page here on how to check it and fix it: my washer moves around, my washer wobbles, my washer vibrates, and how to fix this, common suspension problem on a direct drive washer, whirlpool, Inglis, Kenmore Start Reading about half way down were it says: The suspension plate can twist out of place and the washer will really shake badly during spin. ![]() Jake

Sorry for the delay, I was out of town all week.
I took the washer apart again today. I checked the balance ring, its intact and still about 1/2 full of liquid as it should be. All four of the balance springs are in place and look good. The wear pads from what I can see of them look to be in good shape, again washer is only a year and a half old. I've compared the suspension on the washer to the pictures in the link that you gave me above and mine looks to me to be aligned correctly. I have attached pictures of mine so you can see it. Any ideas? ![]() ![]() |

Yes, it does like similar, I'm not sure what else may be causing the problem.
You may need to have a Sears tech. come out to see whats going on. Jake

Anyone else have any ideas?? I thought these were supposed to be good washers. A year and a half old for a $400+ appliance and I have to pay $65 minimum just for someone to come look at it. I'm pretty dissappointed.
