I have a Kenmore coldspot side by side 106.58023801 that i bought 3 weeks ago.
when i got it, i ran the water dispenser as directed in the use and care guide, 5 seconds, 5 seconds until I had filled several pitchers over 5 minutes. it ran great: cold water, fast filling. this week the flow lessened and lessened and now only trickles. i read the threads on the forum and checked all hoses, disconnecting and looking for debris from the house water system, and checked the filter, everything looks okay everywhere. ive tried re-doing the 5 second, 5 second dispensing to work out any new air bubbles in case that was the problem, but no luck. the water is barely trickling out now! |

Hi,
Is the water supply line hooked up to a saddle self-piercing needle valve on your house plumbing? I see those clog alot after it works fine for awhile. Pull your refrigerator out from the wall, then turn off your water supply line, then unscrew your water supply line where it connects to your water inlet valve, then get a bucket or container to catch water in, then put your water supply line in it, then turn on your water, you should have good strong pressure. Let me know what you find. Jake

Jake,
Thanks for replying. There was a valve on an existing cold water pipe in the wall near the refrigerator that I attached a flexible supply hose to, to supply water to the refrigerator. I removed the hose where it connects at the lower back of the refrigerator and turned the water on, into a bucket, and it flows at full force. Mark |

Ok Mark,
Then it sounds like you may have a problem with your inlet water valve, which is covered under your 1 year. warranty from Sears. Jake
