Customer Complaint: My refrigerator is to warm and I can hear a clicking noise. My refrigerator is not cooling at all but it sounds like it is running. The problem is the Kenmore Refrigerator is from 1979. Been running great and now getting that clicking noise & not cooling. Can't find the part. ![]() (M)# 106.8630512 (s) # S41040666 Can you help. Hi Shelley,
If you put your hand on the compressor and its not vibrating/running and the clicking is coming from the start relay/overload thats mounted on the side of the compressor, then you would need a volt/ohm meter to ohm both the relay and overload for continuity with the refrigerator unplugged. If both check good, then your compressor is shot, and it being a 1979 model thats 30 years old, and its had a good long life, as most refrigerators nowadays only last about 15 years on average.
