Default Help Me Find the Motor Relay

Kenmore Model 110.65942401.

I have the same problem others have mentioned. When you push the start button the dryer starts but when you let go of the button the dryer stops - no beeps.

I ordered the control board after reading the sticky thread, but that did not fix the problem. One test I have read is to swap the motor relay with the dryer? relay. I can't for the life of me find these two. Where are they?

Hi,

Except yours is NOT an even heat dryer....no control board and no relays. That little board is for the moisture dryness only.

Common trouble makers...a bad motor, bad door switch, broken wire...

The motor will run if I hold the button in, so I don't think it is the motor or the door switch. Does that also eliminate the broken wire?

It seems like it was not drying as well as it on the timed dry cycle. Might the problem be with the thermostat or thermal cutoff?

Have to check/diagnose.....motor must switch from start to run to stay running.

Nope.

Thermostat maybe, thermal cut off nope....same thermostat(s) are used for most cycles.
