Default [FIXED] Sears Kenmore

Jake I have a Kenmore Model 795.65004402 Refrigerator that I picked up with the complaint of it warming up in the fridge. I hooked it up and and started and ran fine for the first 12 hrs with the controls set on 4 for the fridge and freezer as recommended. I woke up today and checked it and it was 34 in the fridge and the number 4 was not lite up anymore. The only numbers that were lite up were on the freezer contol side and the numbers 5,6,7 all were lite up. The customer said when it stopped working at first all the lights went out. I am thinking it is the control board that is bad. I think this is a LG built box. Any suggestions?

They sell between $1500-$2800 new.

Glad the new control board fixed it.

Jake I woke up this morning and and the box was still cold, but the temp selector light for the fridge was not lit up and on the freezer side numbers 5,6 and 7 were all lit up. When I put the new board in and plugged it in the number 4 lit up on both sides. Is this normal or do I have other problems beside the board?

I really don't know Tag, I quit Sears in 2005 before this models really started selling alot, so I rarely saw them and much less worked on them. The 795 models are made by LG.

Default LG Problem

Jake just wondering how often this should go through defrost, I am thinking it could be a bad heater or a bad sensor. Because it probably had run no more than 12 hrs after replacing the board when I checked it and seen the 5,6,7 numbers lit up. I unplugged it around 4 PM today and then plugged it back in and its on 4 lit up on both settings. I am hoping someone else may see this and have had the same problem. How do you check the sensor? Also what should the heater Ohm at?

Jake just so you know the problem was the Control Assy, Def sensor and after ordering it and replacing it all problems are gone and it is working great. So this may be something that also needs to be replaced with the control board. Just wanted to pass this on so if you run into it.

Thanks
