Kenmore HE4t - F02 then no power
Hi all,
I have a Kenmore HE4t, Model 110.45081401, with one or a few issues. We inherited the washer from a friend who didn't want to bother with repairs so I'm giving it a go.
The initial tech that come to check the washer said it needs a new electronic control (Part #8182255).
Problem #1 (fixed?) - F02/Sud
When we initially got the washer it powered up fine but gave a F02/Sud error. I opened up the pump filter and removed a few leaves and everything seemed ok. No more error and it drains fine now.
Problem #2 - No Power
Once I moved it into place however, no power. The outlet is fine, but no click, no power when plugged in. Probably the CCU? When I moved the washer again, it powered up fine. Moved a third time, back to no power. Maybe a short?
Current troubles suggest a new CCU (Part #8182689). But the tech suggested the electronic control (Part #8182255). Would the electronic control create a no power issue? Note, there is no click when power is supplied.
Before I buy one or the other or both, I just want to make sure I buy the right part. Thanks!

It would be the CCU you would need:
Manufacturer part number 8182689 is RepairClinic item number 1164545

But check your wiring harness to the CCU first, a few members have reported bad connections there.

Thanks Jake. I reseated all of the connections when I was troubleshooting earlier. Is there one in particular that has been troublesome? Do you mean the connection from the power directly to the CCU?

The connectors that come in from the wiring harness, that hook-up to it.

Jake, thanks for the info. I removed the CCU, cleaned all the contacts, and set it back in place. The power works ok now after a little more attention. I think it was the power harness.
We're back to the prior problem though with an F02 code. The pump runs but isn't removing any water. New pump motor or any other issues to check first?
Thanks again.

I removed the water pump and it definitely needs replacing. The impeller was pretty chewed. I've ordered the part. Hopefully that does the trick. Thanks again for the help!
