Hi Angela,
Yes, its time to retire your washer. Your tub bearing and inner tub spider arms sounds like they have broken.
If you are looking for a challenge and have lots of time on your hands, here is a guide to fix it:

But with a 13 month old, I'd say go to Sears tomorrow and get a new washer.

But I Love my Washer...
I did fix this machine once with your gifted help.. but alas, I also work full-time. I saw those instructions. I think it would take me way more than 3 hours..
Say, Just to be sure I represented the problem correctly:
When turned by hand, drum sounds fine. No clunking or sounds like the spider arm is clunking around, but I guess if it just cracked it wouldn't.
Fills and empties fine, however, when it spins, it starts to knock. On gentle cycle, it sounds like a fast horse trot, on regular cycle, it sounds much worse than that, but not constant. It's in the transition(s) from speed to speed where it knocks.. as if, once it finds a good place, it's fine. Is the knocking from the inner drum hitting the outer drum?
I could be in denial, especially since this unit is stacked, Dryer is fine and I have no idea what to replace it with. Is it worth having someone look at it?
I Just can't believe it's over
.
Thanks Again Jake. You Rock.

Yes, did you check your 2 shock absorbers under the outer tub assembly to make sure they didn't break?
If the shocks are fine, then its all the bearing and inner tub spider supports.
Oh yours is stacked? You could go to Sears and see if they have a new washer that will be identical to yours so you can keep the dryer stacked on the new washer.
