Question Dryer won't stop on timed dry or auto dry

    Model Number: 110.72602101
    Brand: Sears Kenmore

Our dryer doesn't stop in timed dry or auto dry. I can hear the timer clicking. Is it time for a new timer?
    Thanks!

Ok first do this: when the dryer is running open the door, then wait till it stops, then close the door, if your dryer starts by-itself WITHOUT you pushing the push-to-start button, then its definitely your push-to-start switch thats bad.

Here's the push-to-start switch for your model you can order:
    Manufacturer's Number: 3977456

    3977456

If thats not the case, then yes, you would need a new timer.

Here's the timer for your model you can order:
    Manufacturer's Number: 3977678

We have a special return policy, if you install the timer and it doesn't fix your dryer, you can return it within 45 days for a full refund.

    Jake,
Thanks! When I open the door and then close it, it does not start by itself. I'll order a new timer.

We decided given the age of the dryer we don't want to put in $110 to replace the timer. We'll just use the kitchen timer. Thanks for your help diagnosing it though!
