This Microwave/Oven combo is about 6 years. The botton Oven was in the clean mode when someone started using the Microwave on top. The Microwave suddenly when off. Now nothing on the microwave works including the planel lights. The oven work fine. Opened it up took the main fuse out and took it to a shop and tested and it and they said it works fine. The door and latch parts list two temperture fuses. Still trying to figure out where they are. The main fuse was mounted behind the control panel. I think I will have it checked one more time. I figure this was a saftey default somewhere because of the heat coming from cleaning the oven and running the microwave at the same time. Any Ideas.
We are rural...having a hard time finding someone local to fix it. Called sears. would cost $65 to bring someone out to diagnos... but wasn't sure if it included the fix. We are suppose to call them back next week. They said something about maybe being the Magnetron. I just want to eliminate any quick fixes before having to bring in someone. More time & $42 if we pulled the unit and took it to them because they send them away to be fixed. |

I don't know alot about microwaves, but Jeff has a link that should help:
http://www.applianceaid.com/nuker.html That $65.00 trip charge is just to come to your house to give you a estimate, you would have to pay extra for parts and labor. Jake
