I just bought a Kenmore model 970-C85-072-00 (from the sticker) model 263685072 from the Sears web site, http://www1.sears.ca/webapp/commerce/command/ProductDisplay?prmenbr=1&lng=E&cgrpfnbr=160&prrfnbr=167040231

I got it without a manual from a Sears clearance centre. When I start it it runs for about 3 seconds before shutting off. If I use no heat it runds fine. The signal light over the start button flashes and when I change the program all of the lights on the right side (function) flash 3 times and it beeps 3 times.

Any ideas, other than calling Sears for help?

Hi,

Sounds like your thermistor is bad. If you just bought it, you should have a full warranty on it. I would just call Sears and they will come out to fix it for free.
