Icemaker Stopped
Hi, Jake:
The icemaker on my Kenmore model No. 363.58272890 suddenly ceased functioning. Water dispenser works normally. Ice auger also normal when switch is pressed. Inlet water valve (dual solenoid) with both coils showing normal resistance on multitester. I switched the connectors and get filling of icemaker when door switch is pressed, so right now my guess is an internal icemaker switch is bad. Other possibilities?
How best to remove icemaker from freezer? Also, am I better advised to just replace the whole icemaker?

Yes, it sounds like your ice maker is bad, its better to change the whole unit complete, its been updated.
Just unmount it from the side of the freezer, it has 2 screws on the top, and 1 on the bottom, then just unplug it from the connector.
