I had this problem with Sears Kenmore Electric after Power Drop (f-1) Code

9. The time of day does not display on my electronic oven control. If I push the CLOCK pad on the control panel the time will display for a few seconds and then it goes blank again.

• On many ranges with electronic controls the time of day display can by turned off or on by holding the CLOCK keypad down for 15 seconds.
  Push and hold the CLOCK keypad. The time will appear for a few seconds, and then disappear and finally it will reappear and beep. Release the keypad and the time should continue to display. Follow this same procedure to turn the time display off.

This is to Frank aka Lewandowskiifrank. You are an angel. I have been looking for a resolution to my problem and I read your post today and tried your trick and vola! It worked like a charm. Thank you soooooo much, I have a display again on my Kenmore model C970-440223.

Has anyone had this problem with the above mentioned model? We inherited with our house 3 years ago and the F1 code error just happened. It's 4 days before Christmas! And Sears want $225 for something I won't get until December 31st. I'm going to try the fixes for other models, but was hoping someone could talk on this particular model. Thanks.
