Kenmore dishwasher quit working
Brand:
Sears Kenmore
Age:
1-5 years
My dishwasher quit working & is completely dead. There is some water left in the bottom indicating it quit during the cycle. After reading the other posts, I pulled the control panel but couldn't find the thermal fuse. I looked on repairclinic.com & it shows the fuse is round. Can you tell me where the fuse is located & provide information how to install it? Thanks!

The thermal fuse you're referring to is a high limit thermostat for the heating cycle and most likely not the cause of your problem. Start by checking the door switches. There are two switches and both should be closed when the door is latched. Here is the one for your machine:

They can go out anytime but mostly when running. It could be something else so check the switches with a meter. Don't just order them.
