    Question 1999 Kenmore SS not dispensing water

    My 1999 side by side has quit dispensing water. Ice make still works fine. I can hear a "motor" sound when I depress the water button. I suspect the solenoid is working. I know there is an electical switch at the door access panel and a water valve in the back. Any suggestions......any past experiences????? Does the door access panel just snap off?

    Thanks in advance for any tips.........

    Hi,

    If you hear a humming sound when you press your water dispenser lever, then that dispenser switch is fine.

    Its either your water inlet valve solenoid is stuck closed, or your water tank in the refrigerator is frozen.
