wont spin in rinse cycle,lift lid and close will start working

Age:
6-10 years
you guys have helped me in the past. this time my kenmore washer model#110.26924502 serial #CS4703096 will not spin or agitate if you lift the lid and close it it will start working was wondering if it is the lid switch? thanks in advance jim

Yes, it definitely sounds like your lid switch is bad.
Its inside the console.

Remove the 2 screws from each side and the console pulls forward a tad and up.
Here's the lid switch for your model you can order here:
Manufacturer part#8318084 is RepairClinic item#1018522

i recieved switch today put it on and it is still doing the same thing any other suggestions?

Thats very odd, that should of fixed it, not sure what else to check unless your lid hinge is bent and not allowing the lid switch to make good contact when the lid is down.

thats what i thought you can here the switch clicking when you open and close the lid

Yes, you should be able to hear the switch click when you open and close the lid.
