Warm Surface Light Stays On (Right Front Burner)
Brand:
Sears Kenmore
Age:
1-5 years
Hi All,
Glad to have found you!
I have a 2009 Sears Canada Range: C970-604122.
Even when cool, the Warm Surface Light (one for each burner) associated with the right-front burner remains 'on'. As far as I can tell, the element still performs normally (though it heats a bit slower than it's left counterpart, perhaps due to heavier use). How can I test the burner & controller to determine what is in need of replacing?
I believe they are discussing this problem here:
Flat top hot surface light stays on?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I have a 2009 Sears Canada Range: C970-604122.
Canadian model#'s are for the most part not online.
Even when cool, the Warm Surface Light (one for each burner) associated with the right-front burner remains 'on'
Safety switch on the element is reponsable for turning the light on and off, it is likely stuck on and needs replacing.....most only come with the element now = new element time.

Thanks Jeff for the reply. I've found a part diagram for the model here:

I haven't figured out where to buy parts from, but it's a start. We'll see how she goes.
