Factory Water Hose Replacement
Brand:
Sears Kenmore
Age:
More than 10 years
The hot water inlet hose into my Kenmore Elite washer burst. I need to replace the inlet hose but am concerned about the removal of the hose from the washer. The factory connection at the back of the washer is extremely tight and the washer's hose bib is make of plastic. I need to apply alot of torque to remove the hose and am afraid I might damage the 20 year old plastic washer connector. Space is a bit tight with the hot and cold water inlets very close together. Are there any techniques I can apply to remove the hose so that I may mitigate any potential damage to the washer's plactic connector?

Hi,
Nope.....welcome to our world!
Add some lube maybe to hopefully allow it to break free and come off a little easier....wd40 works.
Take your time, nice and easy.
