Dryer shut off timer

Sears Kenmore
Age:
1-5 years
My HE2 Dryer won't shut off when it is run on one of he preset dials. When it gets down to 15 min. (ETR), it stays there until I manually shut off the dryer. The only way around this is to use the manual setting "Timed Dry". Is this an easy fix for do I need to call a technician, is there an error code that I can detect and resolve?

Today may be your lucky day.
I'd first try to clean the moisture sensor bars with rubbing alcohol and see if that makes a difference, many members have done this and it fixed it.
Its located under the filter housing inside the door, its #34 here:
