Mike, did you forget to connect the control thermistor on the new board?

Rick, Sorry for the delay got a lot of things going on now. Checked the voltage on those terminals. 121,121,and 243 were the readings. I checked the moisture sensor and it is connected.

OK, run the diagnostics and check for any error codes. Be sure to exit the test mode. Check all the wire connections. I have a feeling it's something simple.

The start light and the 4 lights flash 6 times and then the start light flashes twice. If I clear the code and exit unplug it and plug it back in, it will start flashing the same thing. If I run the dryer, stop it, open the door, hit the cancel button, after a few seconds it will start flashing the same code again. I have checked all the connections and even tried swapping the thermistor back to the original, always the same result.

It keeps flashing that same 6 2 code, I just realized I wasn't checking to see if there were more codes, so I checked. A 6 4 code also came up. Neither of these codes are on the data sheet that came with the dryer. I apologize for taking up so much of your time with this but hopefully you could understand my frustration with this. I think it just may be time to bite the bullet and buy a new dryer and junk this one with all brand new parts in it.

Mike, don't worry about my time, I have plenty to spare. No worries!! I want to make sure you're testing correctly so humor me if you don't mind. Follow these instructions exactly: Unplug the machine for 1 minute. Restore power and start the dryer. When the machine stops and flashes the status indicator LED's to indicate an error, turn the CYCLE SELECT KNOB to the three o'clock position. Press and hold the SELECT and PAUSE CANCEL buttons simultaneously for six seconds. Immediately after press and hold the START and PAUSE CANCEL buttons simultaneously for four seconds. Now rotate the CYCLE SELECT KNOB to the two o'clock position. The STATUS indicator lights will flash the number of times for the first digit of the code. This is where I think you might be making a mistake. When you turn it to the two o'clock position, the status lights come on, go off, and come on, and that's one flash and not two. Don't count the first "on" as a flash.

Rick,
Ok now I am completely convinced that this damn thing is possessed. I did everything as you said, just like I had been doing, and now it won't even do the diagnostic mode. I tried several times. It entered test mode just fine, and everything seems to work. If I set the selector to towels, normal, permanent press, or delicate it cuts off after 20 seconds. If I set it to quick or any of the timed 15,30,45 etc. it will run its complete cycle no problem. When I open the door and close it as if I took clothes out a couple of the lights are on. I press the cancel button twice and all lights are off and quiet, for about 30 seconds and then a couple of the lights come back on and it starts beeping. I must unplug until I am ready to dry something.

Mike, make sure all the wires for the moisture sensor are connected (remove the lower panel and double check). It would be very unusual for both parts to fail at the same time. If they are replace this part:

Rick,
Ok, I ordered and have know replaced the moisture sensor and every other part in this dryer except for the light bulb. And still does not work properly. I plug it in and a couple of the lights are on like it's ready to start. I hit the start button, it starts and runs for 25 seconds and shuts off. It does that now on all settings. If I cancel the sequence all lights off and wait the lights will come on by themselves and it will start beeping. I have to leave it unplugged so it won't do anything on it's own. I think I should put it on Craigslist and give it to somebody out there, but I wouldn't give anybody the aggrevation of this stupid thing. I know I could probably return some of the parts, but at this point I'm not even worried about that. I do appreciate the help you have given, but I could have saved myself a lot of trouble and just gone ahead and flushed 500 dollars down the toilet.

OK, I'm stumped. You might have to have a tech come out and look at it. Any parts you purchased from the links here can be returned for a refund.
