by the way, i could be off on the age of the dryer, it could be 10 years or older. But it is Electric and hooked up to a 220 outlet.
the dryer worked flawlessly ever since its been handed down to me about a year and a half ago,
the other day when i went to dry a load of laundry i filled up the dryer, selected my drying time and pushed he start button but it did not start the cycle.
instead if i put my ear real close to the dial panel i hear a click that is a little bit louder than the following several clicks, but the cycle never starts.
The main reason the thermal fuse blows is air flow restrictions in your exhaust hose that goes to the outside of your home, lint build-up over the years effects the air flow, also go outside and check your dryer vent, that can clog up too.
thank you so much! iv'e removed the thermal fuse and have ran the test shown in the video with my digital multi meter and it seems there is NO continuity.
i have purchased a new one and will get back to you as soon as i find out if this makes my dryer operate again.
Thank you very much Jake!
you are a master of your trade this is true!
the new thermal fuse came in today and within about 15 minutes i had the dryer put back together and voila!
NO problems at all!!! Works like it was never in need of service!
