Default No water out, yet water in?

    Model Number: 665.16791791
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: More than 10 years

My dishwasher is a Kenmore 655. Over night it would not drain the water out during its cycle. I removed the hose to ensure there was no blockage and there isn't. Next I reattached it and tried to blow air through it and it would not allow. However, after sucking out the standing water with a shop vac I look inside today and there is again standing water. Though I had not ran it. Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi,

We need the full model number. It should start with 665.

    Thanks,

Now what I find on these models 95% of the time when it won't drain properly is the check valve clogged.

There should be just a black rubber flapper inside that check valve, push something through it, like a pen, it should go through. Also flush it with water from your sink.

Here's the check valve for your model:
Manufacturer part number 675238 is RepairClinic item number 2844
