Default kenmore upright freezer not working 757.7293130

My freezer is not working. It did this a few months ago and I turned it off and on after I let sit turned off for 30 minutes and it worked fine until today. I tried the same thing but it didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mike

Default update

I got the freezer to turn on again by tapping the control knob. When I did this I saw a spark from back of control and the freezer started to run.Once the freezer gets cold I will take the control knob out and clean and inspect the contacts. Thanks for a great web site.

Yes, I remember changing the temp. control thermostat on one of these exact models last summer, because it was doing the same thing.

You will need a new temp. control repair kit, You can only order this through Sears. The part#17910-000 its about $86.00. Here is the link to Sears if you want to order it.
