    Default Kenmore Electric Range

    Model Number: C970-635431
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: 6-10 years

I was using the stove top,(operated ok) when I pushed the Simmer button, the power to all the elements stopped, clock was flashing. I pressed stop on the oven - Didn't help. No power to stove top or oven
Range is about 6 years old
I unplugged the Range for about a minute - no success

    Any suggestions ?
    Thanks

Ok, Your Kenmore is made by Frigidaire which in the USA is the same as the Kenmore 790 models.

Here's our main thread about this issue:
    Kenmore Simmer Select issues

But since yours is a Canadian Kenmore Model C970, we can't look-up parts for it, you'll have to get them in Canada.

Even though I had previously unplugged the range for a number of hours with no success, this morning (thanks to some advice from a local parts supplier) I cycled the breaker feeding the range and it works now

    Thanks for your help

OK but if you haven't fixed anything I wouldn't push the simmer button again.
