Kenmore side by side ice not dispensing
I have read thru all the blogs and suggestions. After removing the cover on the inside of the freezer door, the best thing that I can come up with is that the wire on the dispenser is detached. I have no idea how to attach it, because I don't know where it was before becoming detached. Also the round rubber flap that the ice dispenses from is off the arm that holds it closed and opens the flap upon dispensing, I am guessing.
I purchased this fridge used. The owner says the ice maker works, the water dispenser on the door works, however the ice will not dispense. When I depress the handle I can hear the mechanism and/or motor engaging. However with my last Kenmore I could see the metal turning when the ice dispenser is depressed. This one will not turn when the dispensing arm is pressed when the door is open.
Any place I can view an owners manual for this model? Also how much is a service call to replace the wire if it cannot be reattached. If I purchase the wire will it come with instructions how to reattach?
Thanks! This is a very helpful site. I appreciate your efforts to help us homeowner and slightly mechanically inclined folk to fix our own stuff.

Hi,
Lets try to resolve this for you, but first we will need the complete model#. Once we have that, we can post parts diagrams so you can point out that wire to us.
