I have purchased a door gasket for Kenmore model 106.8770637 and I am already stymied by step # 1 of the instructions "Remove the door." It would appear that I have to also remove the freezer door for removal of the main door, however, I'm not certain. If anyone can give me the steps for door removal I will be most appreciative. Thanks!

Hi,
First remove the top freezer door hinge while the freezer door is closed, then just pull off the freezer door, then remove the middle hinge that the freezer door mounted on, keeping the refrig. door closed as well. Once that middle hinge is removed, the refrigerator door will pull off as well. Remember to remove the food items in each door before removing the doors. Always hold or lean against the doors while removing the top and middle hinges, so the doors won't just fall when the hinges are off. Jake
