Kenmore 665.16609300 Control Panel Problem
I posted a problem the end of last year with my Control Panel. Back then, one of my LED's was flashing. The suggestion posted was to replace the control panel. I finally did replace the control panel with a new one, and for about 1 week everything worked fine.
Now I have a second problem. I don't have any flashing LED's, but the control panel basically does not work at all. I can only select one or two options, one of which is the normal wash, but the start button does nothing. The only button that consistenly works is the Cancel button.
I have tried resetting every connector including the ribbon cable, but nothing has helped. I even ordered and installed a new electronics circuit, which was worse as I got a flashing LED after installing that. So I put the original electronics back in.
The only other item of interest is that I noticed the dishwasher no longer worked right after we had a bad thunder storm and there was lighting strike close to my house. However, nothing else in the house has shown any problems of electrical damage.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Alan

Hi,
Unfortunately, this is a very tough one to diagnose, since that thunderstorm and lighting strike was so close to your house.
I would have Sears come out to look at it.
