Default Kenmore 54582 LOUD noise

This side by side is only two weeks past its one year warranty. For the past two days it has been making a very loud buzzing noise. It is not constant. The last episode lasted about three hours with the noise diminishing quite a bit in the last hour. I'd say it has happened about four times a day. Sounds like it is coming from the back of the frig. I have not heard this noise before. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

Its possible your compressor is making that noise, you have a full 5 yr. parts and labor warranty on your sealed system/compressor.

I would contact Sears to have a tech. come and look at it.

Jake

Some sxs have a little trouble leaking at the back where the fill tube comes in and drips over and runs down behind panel freezing at the evaporator fan blade giving a loud buzzing sound that eventually goes away. look for signs of leakage under the tube bringing water to icemaker. If the model start with a 106 you can use a little food grade silicone part no 542638 around the round fill tube where it contacts the "open trough" that takes the water to the icemaker. other models can usually be sleeve with another round tube.
If unsure try leaving icemaker off a few days if sound does not return look for water leaks at fill tube.
