Default Dryer Starts, Stops after a few seconds

I have a Kenmore Dryer, model 110.96093800 and today, it started acting up. What is happening is as follows; regardless of the cycle type you select including timed, when you press the start button, it starts and the dryer will even heat up but about 10-30 seconds into the cycle, the dryer starts to slow down, speed up, etc. and then it stops. This whole process takes probably 10-30 seconds. If you then wait, open the dryer door to reset the start switch, wait a few minutes, you can start the dryer up again but the same exact thing happens.fficeffice" />>>

Hi,

It sounds like your motor may be starting to go out. Motors are pretty expensive, so if you dryer is over 10 years old, it may be better to invest the repair money into a new dryer.
