First time in 13 years problems with heat. Dryer ignites and flame starts for apx 10-15 seconds, then shuts-off for apx 2-3 minutes and then re-ignites again and flame comes on for few seconds and so on. Sears parts center told me that the common part that people get is the thermal fuse, I replaced it, then the flame stayed on for longer, we actually did a complete load, then it went back to the same old cycle as the beginning. Reading some tips from forums I have replaced the thermostat, the heater-stat and I still don't have the problem under control. In some of your treads I have read someone fixing an intermitent problem by changing the coils, not sure if that is the problem with my dryer, but I'll appreciate any further direction as to how to get this problem fix.

Thanks in advance

Jorge

Hi,

First try to run the dryer with it pulled away from the wall, with the exhaust hose dis-connected, just letting the dryer air blow out freely.

If that makes the gas stay on longer like it should, then you have a vent restriction.

If it still does the same, its possible the sensor or gas valves are out.

JAKE,

LINT AT THE END (outside) OF THE PIPE WAS THE PROBLEM, apparently with the winter snow the lint got wet and started to accumulate a lint ball of apx 3.5 inches that was preventing the air to circulate freely.

The dryer is back in biz.

MUCHAS GRACIAS, you are an expert !
