Kenmore HE3T 110.42922200 F02, Drain Pump?
I have the 4 year old washer listed in the subject and I'm getting an F02 error code suddenly since a couple days ago. I checked the filter basket and found nothing noteworthy. I checked the drain hoses and they seem to be clear, other than a layer of nasty slime on the inside. Put it all back together ran the rinse/drain cycle and it worked fine (drain pump was noisy). When I ran a full cycle the next day, same thing happened, F02 error and now the drain pump is very noisy again.
The noise the drain pump motor is making is loud and sounds like something is rattling around in it. I pulled the motor out and I can freely spin the impeller back and forth 3/4 of a turn before it engages the motor. Is this normal? Perhaps some kind of clutching to prevent motor damage if the impeller jams? Or is the motor dead?
Also, it seems I cannot buy the motor but I have to get the entire pump assembly. Anyone know if this is available? Seems like Whirlpool just keeps bolting parts together until they get to $100 worth of stuff
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Eric

Yes, it sounds like you will need a new drain pump, yea, it only comes as an assembly, but I found it at $86.00 here(click photo for pricing/ordering information):
