Kenmore Series 80 - wobbles/gallops during spin cycle
Kenmore Series 80 Washer
Mdl: 110. 92281100
S/N CD0511969
This washer is over 10 years old. This problem started a week ago. No matter how balanced the load the washer walks across the floor. I first double checked the level and found the front was a 1/2 inch lower than the back. I leveled front to back & side to side. I tried a test load and the washer still walked. Not in large jumps but at the end of the spin cycle it had moved approx. 2-3 inches. I took out the load and ran a low water only, no clothes. I did an over-ride to the top lid switch to observe the agitator/spindle/drum. I noticed when spinning, the drum was very smooth at high speed but would shimmie/wobble every couple of seconds. When the drum wobbled, it looked like it moved a good inch or more from side to side and was a REAL quick wobble. I just installed a new Kenmore washer in my rental house that I pre tested after I installed it and when I ran it through a spin cycle there was next to no movement just a little vibration. So that is how it should be working. Any suggestions to my problem?
