Default Unique Ice Maker Leak

I have a Kenmore ELITE Cold Spot #106.53606202 side by side with ice maker and water dispenser on front of left door. It is about 3 years old. I read all the logs and no one has had this problem. We were having people over last week and I wanted to make more ice faster...so I turned down the temp to the ice maker and put it on "acceler Ice2". The next day I found that the ice had lodged/frozen in the chute. I turned the temp back to the original setting. I dumped the ice from the bin as it had frozen too and chipped the frozen ice from the chute.

Here is the problem:
There is a clear plastic piece that is located just below the chute (you can see it from the outside of fridge) and is actually connected to the dispenser "paddle". Maybe Im paranoid, but it looks like it is hanging down further than before. Maybe I knocked something out of place when I cleared the blockage in the chute. I can look up thru the clear plastic peice and see ice hanging. Water is know leaking out of the chute from what appears to be melting ice from the chute. The ice maker is working fine, but the ice does not dispense as well as before and sometimes wont stop dispensing until I physically pull the dispenser paddle out with my hand and turn the dispenser to the lock position. Please help!!!!

Default Ice Maker Leak

After looking at the ice maker more closely, it looks like the "black flap" that closes to keep the ice from coming out of the bin stays open allowing the ice to melt and leak...hope that helps to better describe my problem

Are you referring to #6 here:

Thats your ice dispenser door that flaps open when you push the ice dispenser lever.

Its likely you will need to order this door repair kit to fix it:

Default Ice Maker

Thanks Jake for taking the time on Easter to help me with my problem. Yes the picture you included is the "Black Flap" I was trying to expalin. I will order it. How hard is it to install? What screws and or parts do I have to remove to get to it? Thanks again Jake!

#21 in that parts link I posted is your dispenser trim panel, it has 2 slots underneath it, get a flathead screwdriver and pop those 2 notches, then it will come off and you can see everything.
