Default KUDS01FLBL6 - Blinking Clean Light Issue

I have a Kitchenaid Superba KUDS01FLBL6 with the common clean light blinking seven times.
I've tried some of the fixes but it's not really clear which keys on my model I need to do in sequence. Below are my panel settings in order from left to right.
I've tried pushing "sani rinse" + "energy saver dry" + "sani rinse" + "energy saver dry" and that results in making all the lights blink so obviously, that's not correct.

    Cycles
Baked on Glassware - Normal - Light/China - Quick Clean up - Rinse Only
    Options
Hi Temp Scrub - Sani Rinse - Energy Saver Dry - 4 Hour Delay
    Start - Cancel

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer. The dishwasher is about three years old and like others, has worked flawlessly in that time up to now.

    Default KUDS01FLBL6 blinking light Issue

Welp, I think that key combination was it. On a lark, I left it at that all blinking mode and it seems to have fixed itself. I am testing now to make sure it really is fixed and doesn't require a heating element replacement.
    Is that a difficult replacement?

Yes, thats the correct diagnostics mode buttons.

To test your element, just put it in the diagnostics mode and let it run through, when the test is over, drip some water over the element, it should sizzle, if its not hot with no sizzle, then ohm out the element.

You can pull your dishwasher out, then you can easily get to your heating element terminals to ohm it and change it if its bad.

Here's the heating element for your model:

    Thanks Jake for the info.
The ohm test is simply for continuity right? A good element will not have continuity right or is it the other way around? Also the dishwasher goes right back into blinking mode and the element is not hot after the test.
Does the dishwasher have to pulled out for the replacement of the heating element?

Yes, the ohm test is to check for continuity.

A good element will have continuity. Usually elements are good with 30 ohms or less shown on a ohm meter.

Yes, you can get real good access to the heating element terminals by pulling your dishwasher out.

    Default Heating Element

    Jake,
I noticed that part number is a different one than what comes up when I search for the part manually. Is a Whirlpool part compatible with a KitchenAid product?
1164450 = This is the part number I keep getting.
    Thanks!

I posted a link to your heating element in post#3, its the one for your model, it may have changed part numbers, lots do, but its still the original part for your model.

Whirlpool owns KitchenAid so the part is compatible.

    Thanks Jake,
I figured it might be something like that.

    Default Heater Element Arrived

Wow, the element arrived already after being shipped on Tuesday.
    A couple of questions:
    1. What tools do I need to do the install
    2. Is it necessary to pull the dishwasher out to install the element.
    3. Is there a step by step howto on how to perform the removal and install of the new element?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike
