Default Help! Kenmore 665.75022102 oven cleaning latch won't retract!

Haven't used the cleaning feature on this Kenmore 665.75022102 in a while. I decided to do it today. It made a cliking noise and I coudnt figure out why. I realized it was the oven locking latch was not catching the door. I opened the door, but the latch hook wont retract. Display shows "locked", and if I press cleaning it will turn on as if it was really locked. Now the oven door does not close. Can anyone help?

    Thanks

First try turning the breaker off to your range for about 5 minutes, then turn on the breaker and see if it resets itself.

If that doesn't work you will need to turn your breaker off, pull your range out from the wall and the lock assembly #32 here loose from the cabinet, should have a couple screws that hold it on:

Then you will need a new one.

Here's the one for your model:

Jake, thanks for reply. I was able to figure it out. SO maybe this posts helps others in the future. The problem was that the oven door by itself does not close far enough for the latch to lock/unlock (Maybe through use). SO the sound I originally heard prior to my having issues was the latch trying to catch the door. What I should have done, was just ease the door shut a bit more (helping it to catch). By opening it, I threw the whole thing off. I eventually even got error messages about mismatching states (latch said it was locked and door said it was open). What I did to fix it: I removed the back panel and the subpanel to access the little motor and arm that controls the latch (after powering it off of course). I manually moved the arm to the state it should have been in with the door open(unlocked position. And everything else is history as they say. I just have to be very attentive of when I try to make it perform a function that requires it to lock/unlock, sometimes I have to ease it shut. Thanks
