Default [FIXED] Leak at top of Water Heater

I am looking for advice. I recently noticed a small leak at the Hot water pipe on top of the unit. I have a Kemore Miser 40 galon H.W.H. I don't have model # handy here at work although I can provide later today. What is the best method for repairing this leak? Turn off cold water, then ????

Is the leak coming from the threaded part where it threads to your hot water line into the house? or is the leak at the base of the top of the water heater pipe going into your house?

Strange, it seems like its coming from the little weep holes where the vent cap sits. The threads on the hot & cold water side are dry and tight. May leak 1-2 oz over a 6 hour period.
Is it possilble to leak from below the fitting where the male stub comes out from the tank. There is a plastic housing around the pipe red for hot , blue for cold. Seems like most of the water is around the hot side.

Yes, I've see that happen many times. Its your tank thats leaking, you will need a new tank.

Whats the warranty on yours now?

    Default warranty

The water heater was installed 06/2005. According to my manual I have a 6 year warranty, looks like Sears will take care of the tank, I am liable for install. What does that normally run. So I know I if they try to overcharge. House was built in 2001. I bought 8/05. This will be the 3rd tank.
Thanks for your advice. It is much appreciated

I'm not sure what the charge for the install will be, If I remember it was about $120 back in 2005, may be more now though.
