Default Kenmore 665-16032402 Upper sprayarm rotation

The upper sprayarm doesn't rotate, soap residue left on glasses etc on the upper rack.
I can rotate chopper assy. by hand OK. Removed check valve, it seems OK.
Removed feed tube, the rubber flapper not used, stays open. The top spinner seems to rotate the best I can determine.
No food particles present. Rather heavy buildup of undisolved soap.
Can new rubber valves be bought without buying whole feed tube assy. that seems OK? Could that be the problem.
    Any help appreciated.

    Hi TerryA,

Unfortunately, you have to order the complete feed tube on this model, they don't sell the rubber valves in the feed tube separately.

Yes, thats possibly the problem, the one thats not in use should be closed.

Here's the feed tube for your model:

While checking the chopper Assembly, the propeller turns freely but not the screen. Is this a problem?

The screen shouldn't turn, just the chopper blade, also it would be good to pull the chopper/screen assembly out and check the motor impeller were the chopper/screen assembly connects to, and make sure that plastic piece is stripped.

Here's the repair manual for your model:

Page 17 Read 1-4 where it says this:

SERVICING COMPONENTS INSIDE THE WASH TUB
Removing the Inner Feed Tube and
    Lower Spray Arm

Then on Page 21 it starts to get into detail of how to access the rest where it says this:
Accessing Components of the Sump Assembly

It shows how to remove the chopper screen.
